One of the things I love about my family is - wherever they are in the world, be it on holiday, out for lunch, dinner or shopping - something pig related will catch their eyes - and they instantly send me a message "Saw this and thought of you mum" and why not - we are in the pork business and we value their support.

It is more than a day out for Poppy, who is just 6 years old and just soaking up the wonders of everyday living on a farm with rare breed pigs. She is a natural when in the company of animals. Poppy and her Mum and Dad, (Lee and Jane Harvey) are staying with us to experience life in France.
Hello everyone let me introduce myself ... my name is Henry, 'Henners' if the boss is in a good mood and and 'Henniee!' if she is to be avoided!
Do you know what ? It is truly the end of a very long week for me ... that said, I've finished the week on a high and stars in my eyes - doing my bit to save the Middle White pig... and me! Read what happens when I meet a racy little number called Maggie ... Yes... it's me in the field with my piglets! The Guest Hogger this Friday evening.
Maisy is my name and I was born at Le Logis, Cours in France. I am a Pedigree Berkshire Sow with attitude! and have a posh Pedigree name - registered as 'Le Logis Lady 4 " however, you can call me Maisy or Maise, I answer to both. I live a happy and free life here in France - often sharing a paddock with my litter sister Daisy, who I argue with all the time - just like sisters do, and our mate "Lucky" the Jones's first Berkshire boar. I am fed twice a day; able to root to my hearts content , and also to spend quality time with my piglets. All stress free... Likes: plums and extra scoops of pig nuts and my favourite boar is "Lucky" Dislikes: having my ears bitten by my sister Daisy ![]() Great joint of pork for your Sunday lunch. Following our successful market day launch at Secondigny Trade Fair and subsequently our end of the month "Vente Directe" at Le Logis - we will also be selling our Berkshire (Kurobuta) pork at Champdeniers Market, 79220 on Saturday morning - 2 November. Look forward to seeing you there. Great excitement last week as a Champion of Champion Berkshire boar arrived at Le Logis in France. Accompanied by his breeder, Suzi Westron of Choller Farm in West Sussex who made sure that "Choller Namatjira" took the move to his new French home in his stride. "Choller" is his herd name and where he was born and "Namatjira" is the bloodline of the boar. Suzi gave us a lesson on moving a pig with stick and board - looks easy? - come and have a Pig Experience at Le Logis and try it. Also featured is a lovely Berkshire gilt from the "Louise" bloodline a new line here in France. She is 'in pig" expecting piglets 28 October. Sire is an "Orlando" boar. Take a sneaky peek at Neville and Flo at our next Vente Directe Saturday on 26 & Sunday 27 October open at 10.00. Read about Neville's rise to fame This coming weekend at Le Logis, 79220 in Cours - we will be selling our free range pork direct from our farm for the first time.
Saturday September 28th and Sunday 29th will be an "Open Day" "Portes Ouvertes", an opportunity to take a look at our free range rare breed pedigree pigs - and taste some extremely tasty pork. Come and see how we rear our pigs and their piglets - you are more than welcome. Eleveurs de races porcines menacées de disparition.
